2021 Myriad Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley, USA, California, Napa, Wine Review
This is the basic Cab from Myriad. Inky purple in color, opaque and bright. The nose has deep with cassis, new leather, slight graphite, cedar and spice. Full bodied. Firm tannins. Good balance. On the palate, this is drinking well. Flavors of cassis with a bit of tobacco and spice and char. Good acidity. Long finish. No doubt this will still improve with good cellaring but not harm in drinking so young but give it some air. Drink over the next ten to fifteen years. It is great on its own and will work with bigger (fatty) foods. A nice choice at a Steakhouse.

2022 Avivo White Wine, USA, California, Lodi, Wine Review
2000 Wild Horse Pinot Noir, USA, California, Central Coast, Wine Review
From a recent cellar purchase a friend made, this was very drinkable and much better than I would have thought. Cherry red in color, mostly clear and bright. The nose has cherries, slight sandalwood and slight baking spice. Medium bodied. Good balance. On the palate, there is still nice cherry fruit. Not super complex but some depth. It drinks nicely on its own but would be better with food. It would be nice with baked salmon with a cream sauce. Drink up.

2021 Faethm / Fingers Crossed Syrah Unanswered Prayers, USA, California, Wine Review
2021 Hayfork Cabernet Sauvignon Lewelling Ranch, USA, California, Napa, St. Helena, Wine Review
Another great wine for what is now a "reasonable" price from Hayfork for a Napa Cabernet. Purple in color, opaque and bright. The nose is nice with cassis, cedar, spice and slight new leather. Full bodied. Firm tannins. Nicely balance. On the palate, this is young but delicious. Flavors of cassis slight black cherries with spice and char. Nice finish. This will continue to develop but is drinking well right now. It is very nice on its own and will work with most (not seafood) foods. A nice choice for grilled meats or veggies. Drink over the next ten to fifteen years.
2014 Saxum James Berry Vineyard, USA, California, Paso Robles, Willow Creek, Wine Review
2010 Jaffurs Syrah Larner Vineyard, USA, California, Santa Barbara, Wine Review
From Magnum. Purple in color, opaque and bright. The nose is great with black raspberries, black pepper, slight roasted meats and herbs and spice. Full bodied. Medium tannins. Great balance. Plenty of depth. Flavors of black raspberries, black pepper and char. Nice acidity. Long finish. This is drinking well now and even from a 750ml should have a decade left. It is great on its own and went great with a vegetable Lasagna.
