I love the Zinfandel that Carlisle produces from this vineyard but this is "includes eleven different varieties along with a large slug of Carignan" and is labelled "Red Wine".  It is still outstanding.  Purple in color with some ruby hues, mostly opaque and bright.  The nose is nicce with black cherries, cherries, wild herbs and spices.  Medium bodied.  Medium tannins.  A really nice texture which is a signature of this vineyard.  On the palate, this is young but delicious.  Flavors of black cherries, cherries, slight raspberries, slight dried herbs and char.  Good finish.  This drinks great on its own but will work well with grilled foods.  Drink over the next eight to twelve years.
