This is the value in the Jonata lineup. It is a "kitchen sink" blend that has always been excellent. This vintage is 66% Syrah, 18% Cabernet Sauvignon,
12% Petite Sirah, 2% Merlot, and 2% Misc (red & white). Purple in color, ruby at the rim, opaque and bright. The nose is deep with black raspberries, slight cassis, plums, figs and spice. Full bodied. Medium tannins. Great energy and balance. On the palate, this is tasty with flavors of black raspberries, plums, slight cassis, milk chocolate, black pepper and earthiness. Good acidity. Long finish. This drinks great on its own and works nicely with most foods (not sea food). A nice choice for Pizza, but also worked well with Roasted Spaghetti Squash with Mozzarella and Tomato Sauce. Drink over the next ten years.
