This is a lighter style of cool climate Syrah.  It was co-fermented with 3-5% Viognier.  Ruby in color, clear and bright.  The nose has macerated cherries, dry tea and dried floral notes.  Light bodied.  Light tannins.  On the palate, thin cherries.  Moderate finish.  This is not a style of Syrah that I particularly favor but for those looking for a lighter Syrah, this might be perfect.  It worked well with soft goat cheese.  Drink over the next year or two.

This is an inexpensive Pinot Noir from southern Oregon.  It is lighter in style and is a tremendous value.  Light ruby in color, clear and bright.  The nose is nice with cherries, rhubarb and slight cranberries.  Nice, slightly oily texture.  Medium bodied.  Light tannins.  Good acidity.  On the palate, tart cherries with a slight floral note.  Good finish.  This is nice on its own but probably a bit better with food.  Drink over the next five to ten years.  It would make a nice pairing with grilled Salmon.  Screw capped.

Caveat, I tasted this after a few low octane Pinot Noir's, but this seemed to be bigger in style.  Garnet in color with some purple hues.  Mostly opaque and bright.  The nose has black cherries, black raspberries, and a bit of mint.  Full bodied.  Light to medium tannins.  Good acidity.  Plenty of depth.  On the palate, this has some complexity.  Lush black cherries with some black raspberries.   Nice finish.  Tasty.  This drinks well on its own and will work well with most foods.  It would be nice with Grilled Salmon.  Drink over the next ten years.
