This is a lovely Pinot Noir from Oregon.  Ruby in color, clear and bright.  The nose is nice with cherries, black cherries, and some strawberries.  Medium bodied.  Soft but present tannins.  A really pleasant soft, creamy texture that makes this wine nicely accessible.  On the palate, this is tasty.  Flavors of cherries and strawberries with some background salinity.  A touch of wild herbs (sorrel?) on the long finish.  This is middle of the road in terms of style but slightly more to the elegant side.  It is drinking well now but may improve with some cellaring.  drink over the next ten years.  It is outstanding on its own but will work well with many foods.  Salmon steaks is a great choice but how about a Mushroom Risotto?
