A lot of people will tell you that Oregon Pinot's do not age well.  Nonsense.  At age 14, this is still young and vibrant.  Ruby in color, clear and bright.  The nose has a bit of VA which mostly blows off leaving fresh cherries, slight cranberries, and slight woody notes.  Full bodied.  On the palate, bright black cherries, cherries and slight spice.  Tight complexity.  Long finish.  This should continue to mature and drink well for another ten to fifteen years.  Excellent on its own, this would work better with food.  Roasted chicken is a nice choice.

This is from fruit from the Champoux Vineyard.  Ruby/purple in color, mostly opaque and bright.  Cassis, graphite, slight burnt rubber and a hint of volatile acidity on the nose.  Full bodied.  Nice texture.  On the palate, cassis with some cedar.  Deep and complex.  Medium tannins.  Long finish.  This is showing well and pretty close to peak.  No hurry though.  Drink over the next ten to twelve years.  Better with food.  This would work well with Beef Wellington.

Nice trying this wine at age 27.  While past prime, this still has something to offer.  Purple/ruby in color, flat and mostly opaque.  The nose has sandalwood, cherries and dried cherries.  Medium  bodied.  Good acidity.  On the palate, tasting a bit tired with dried cherries, but also some fresh cherries.  Moderate finish.  Certainly enjoyable but drink up.  Nice with chili or a stew.

The names stems from the original release of this wine back in the mid-90's.  The vines used were from one of the younger blocks in the famous Champoux vineyard.  Now the vines are over twenty years old and this wine is from the best barrels of the wine.  An excellent value in Washington state Cabernet.  Ruby in color, clear and bright.  The nose has black cherries, spice, and slight cedar.  Full bodied.  On the palate, black cherries, spice and slight graphite note.  Good balance.  Nice depth.  Medium tannins.  Nice finish.  This is drinking well now and should continue to drink well for a
