This is made from grapes grown on the west coast and shipped to Ohio.  Ruby in color, clear and bright.  The nose has rhubarb, cherries and slight spice notes.  Medium bodied.  Light tannins.  On the palate, the rhubarb and cherry notes come thru along with a slight milk chocolate note.  Moderate finish.  This is a lighter style of Pinot Noir that works better with food than on its own.  Drink over the next three to five years.

Made with grape grown in California and shipped to Ohio.  Pale golden in color with a slight copper tinge to it.  Clear and bright.  The nose is a bit reticent at first, but opens to show Cantaloupe, along with a light lemon note and some minerality.  Light to medium bodied.  On the palate, this has a nice, slightly oily texture.  Melons with some lemon. Nice, easy finish.  This  drinks nicely on its own, but a bit better with food.  It went well with stuffed mushrooms.  Drink over the next couple of years.

This is made from grapes grown in California and trucked to northeast Ohio to be processed.  Light golden in color, clear and bright.  The nose is nice with lemons, slight pear and hints of spice.  Medium bodied.  13.5% abv.  On the palate, this is tasty.  It has some depth to it.  Flavors of pears with a slight honey note.  Good acidity.  Nice finish.  This drinks very well on its own and will work with seafood, poultry or veggies.  It went nicely with a mushroom pizza.  Drink over the next five years.

This is made by MIchael Angelo's Winery which is located in Northeast, Ohio.  The grapes are grown in California and shipped (2-day) to Ohio to be processed.  Tasted from two bottles, the second was significantly better than the first (not sure if the first had been open, was from the same vintage, etc) so this note is based on the second, freshly opened bottle.  Made utilizing the Charmat Method.  Light silvery/golden in color.  A fair amount of froth with medium to small sized bubbles.  The nose is nice with lots of peach and slight limes.  With air a banana note came out (perhaps a bit o

Founded in 1987, Argyle has always considered sparkling wine to be one of their mainstays. With a mild carbonation and light fresh flavors, not to mention a good price tag, this is an easy decision for your sparkling needs. Light notes of lemon, quince, green apple, just-baked sourdough, a touch of lime zest and tangerine peel make this a delightful wine. Comprised of 52% Chardonnay and 43% Pinot Noir, a little Pinot Meunier rounds it out. Aged in stainless steel with just 20% in neutral oak allows the bright expressive flavors to come through while allowing for a nice bit of mouth feel.

A nice take on a Washington state Syrah.  Purple in color with some ruby swirls.  The nose has black cherries, cloves, black pepper and char.  Medium tannins.  Plenty of depth.  On the palate, black cherries with underlying minerality and char.  Good acidity.  Long finish.  This is still on the younger side but should drink well for another ten to fifteen years.  A nice choice with Beef Stew.

This is 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 32% Merlot, and 11% Cabernet Franc from Washington.  Inky purple in color, opaque and bright.  The nose has cassis, black cherries, cedar and spice.  Firm tannins.  On the palate, this is a big, ripe wine (especially for Walla Walla) but there is some depth.  Black cherries, some cassis and cedar notes.  This drinks well now and should continue for another ten to fifteen years.  It drinks very well on its own but should work well with food to go with the ripeness (i.e. Duck a L'Orange).

Purple in color, opaque and bright.  The nose is nice with black raspberries, slight burnt rubber, smoke and spice.  Full bodied.  Light tannins.  On the palate, this is not a bruiser but certainly new world in style.  Elegant black raspberry fruit with some black pepper and spice.  Clean.  Plenty of depth.  Nice finish.  This is drinking well now and should drink well for another eight to twelve years.  Nice on its own, this would work well with not too spicy Indian foods.

First time trying this winery.  This is a blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, 5% Malbec, 5% Petit Verdot and 5% Cabernet Franc from Washington.  Inky purple in color, slight ruby swirls, mostly opaque and bright.  The nose has black cherries, spice, and slight char.  Medium to full bodied.  Light tannins.  On the palate, this is not super ripe.  Black cherries with a mint/herbal note that is nice.  Nice finish.  This is nice on its own, but better with food.  This would be a nice wine with a grilled Portabella sandwich.  Drink over the next seven to ten years.
