Silvery green/gold in color, clear and bright. The nose is interesting with orange peel, salinity and spice. Slightly oily texture. On the palate, peaches with spice. Long finish. Overall, a very nice, clean white wine that drinks well alone and will work with lighter foods. This would work with Lemon-Garlic pasta. Drink over the next couple of years.
Nice to revisit this wine, it has been a long time since trying any vintage. Light golden in color with just a touch of green and also copper hues. Clear and bright. The nose has peach, honeydew melon and slight spice. Medium bodied. Slightly viscous. On the palate, the honey dew comes out with just a bit of sweetness and some underlying tea leaves. Good acidity. Nice finish. This is drinking well and should continue to do so for another three to five years. It will work with lighter foods and also worked nicely with assorted Chinese foods.
This is a nice, easy Pinot Gris. $20 is a fair price. Consumed over three nights, it was pretty much the same each night. Screw capped. Light golden/green in color. The nose has slight peach but mostly minerals. On the palate, there is a nice backbone of acidity. Slightly oily texture. minerals. Slight peach. Food friendly or on its own.
A very interesting wine for a couple of reasons. First, the Columbia Gorge AVA is the only AVA that spans across two states (Oregon and Washington). Second, drinking a Pinot Gris at five years from vintage is really pushing it, but this was screw capped which gave it a fighting chance. This is a wine that was drinking great in 2014 with plenty of fruit but its now 2018. Light silvery gold in color. The nose has a nice fresh minerality to it but little fruit. On the palate, this has a nice texture. 13% Alc. There is some minerality and a hint of citrus though there really isn't much
The grapes for this wine come from the Wy'east vineyard. Wy'east is the Native American name for Mt. Hood. Light silvery gold in color, clear and bright. The nose has pears, slight citrus and almond. Light bodied. On the palate, pears and citrus. This is an easy drinking, lighter wine. The folks at Sineann suggest Sushi as a pairing and that sounds about right. Drink over the next year or two. A very nice value.
