Ruby in color with dark swirls.  Mostly opaque and bright.  The nose is dusty with light cherries and some spice.  On the palate, nice cherry fruit.  A bit hollow on the mid-palate but finishes strong.  This is drinking well but will undoubtedly improve a bit with cellaring.  Drink over the next ten years.  It will work well with one of those delcious Tuscan soups such as Acquacotta.

Always a favorite.  Ruby/brown in color, mostly clear and bright.  The nose is very tight and even with a couple hours of air, it remained so.  Some forest floor and hint of cherries and spice.  Much more open on the palate.  Big textural wine.  Lots of cherries and black cherries.  Some underlying tea.  Good acidity.  Moderate finish.  Stylistically, this is what I think of when I think of Brunello.  It might still improve so holding for a couple years is a good idea and drink over the next seven to ten after that.  This would work well with pasta such as potato tortelli.

Ruby in color with some browning, mostly opaque and bright.  The nose is dusty with black cherries.  Some tea leaves.  Full bodied.  Firm tannins.  On the palate, kirsch and fresh cherries.  Good acidity.  This is drinking well now and probably should be consumed in the next five to seven years.  A nice wine with pizza or pasta.

This had been open for two days when I tried a glass but was still showing well.  Ruby in color with slight browning, but clear and bright.  The nose had cherries and some brown sugar.  It was, however, drinking much better on the palate.  Medium tasnnins.  Therre is a cherry cough drop quality which lends a seriousness to the wine but also tastes good, a bit or kirsch and spice.  Clean.  Good acidity.  Nice finish.  After two days open it seems like it had opened and was just starting to have too much air.  Probably best to wait a few years and then drink over the following ten to twelve.

Pop and pour, this wine is hitting its sweet spot now.  Deep ruby in color with purple swirls.  Mostly opaque and bright.  The nose has cherries, black cherries, tea leaves and slight anise.  Medium to full bodied.  On the palate, there are moderate tannins.  Lots of cherry and black cherry fruit over a forest floor base.  Great acidity.  Deep and complex.  Long finish.  This drinks well on its own but really is better with food.  Pasta is a great choice but this will work well with any meat/fowl or veggie dish.  Drink over the next ten to twelve years.

This is drinking well right now.  Deep ruby in color, clear and bright.  The nose is great with cherries, sandalwood, dried cherries and slight anise.  On the palate, this is medium bodied.  The cherries carry thru with an underlying minerality.  Nice acidity.  Long finish.  This drinks better with food and went well with home grilled pizza.  It should be consumed over the next five to seven years.

Opened this with some pasta at home during the Covid 19 Quarantine to enjoy with the family.  Pop and pour and consumed over 4 hours.  Deep ruby in color.  The nose is nice with cherries, sour cherries, wet tea leaves and baking spices.  Medium to full bodied.  On the palate, this is a bit modern in style and full bodied.  Lots of red fruits, mostly cherries with some underlying charred forest floor.  Good acidity.  Nice finish.  This worked well with the food and on its own after dinner.  It is still on the youthful side with some tannins.  Drink now and for the next ten years.

Pop and pour, this took a few minutes to open and then drank well.  Deep ruby in color.  The nose has cherries, wet green tea, spice and slight char.  Full bodied.  A nice back bone of acidity.  Lots of cherry fruit layered with forest floor notes and a bit of anise.  Long finish.  This worked great with a pasta dish.  It also drank well on its own.  It won't get better but should be great drinking for the next ten to twelve years.

This is drinking well if still not yet at peak.  A nice, more modern styled BdM.  Purple in color.  The nose has black cherries, dust and tea leaves.  On the palate, this has light tannins.  Black cherry fruit over a forest floor.  Good acidity.  Depth and tight layers.  Nice finish.  Give this wine another 4 to six years and it should be closing in on peak.  It should be good for ten to fifteen years after that.  It will work with a wide variety of foods from pasta to fowl and roasts.

This is drinking quite well at the moment.  Seemingly at peak, no reason to wait.  Deep ruby in color, a bit lighter at the rim.  The nose has cherries, dried cherries, forest floor and slight hay.  On the palate, this has layers of cherries, dried cherries and a damp forest floor.  Really lively acidity.  Nice texture.  Good finish.  This will work well with meat, fowl or pasta dishes.  It is better with food.  Still should have five to seven more years and then slowly fade.
