Green/silvery gold in color, clear and bright.  The nose is still quote tight.  Some lemons and a bit of white pepper.  Slightly oily texture.  Medium bodied.  Firm tannins.  On the palate, lemons but some heat on the finish.  This needs more cellar time or at least a decant and it should improve.  Wait another year or two and drink over the next five.  Nice with cold cuts and cheese.

2019 was an excellent and ripe vintage in Lower Austria.  It allowed Brundlmayer to make a very nice Pinot Noir.  Light ruby in color, clear and bright.  The nose has nice cherries, some cranberries and some black cherries along with a bit of spice.  Bright acidity.  Lovely texture.  Light tannins.  On the palate, cherries with slight underlying earthiness.  Good finish.  This is young and it could use three to five more years of cellaring.  It should drink for ten to twelve years after that.  It would work nicely with roasted duck or chicken.

Interesting to taste this as it is an attempt at a more serious Zweigelt.  Garnet in color, clear and bright.  The nose has black cherries, spice and a touch of cloves.  Good acidity.  Medium bodied.  Firm tannins.  On the palate, black cherries,  with slight black raspberries.  A bit of depth.  Nice finish.  This is a step up from the regular 2019.  It should be consumed in the next five to seven years.  A nice match for grilled lamb chops.

This is their basic Zweigelt which is a cross between St. Laurent and Blaufränkisch.  Magenta in color, clear and bright.  The nose is nice with black cherries, spice and slight herbs.  Medium bodied.  Medium tannins.  On the palate, this is a simple, easy drinking wine.  Black cherry fruit.  Nice finish.  This is nice on its own and will work with a (veggie) burger and fries.  Drink over the next five years.

These vines averaged over 40 years of age.  Green/gold in color, clear and bright.  The nose has some diesel and slight botrytis along with lemon peel and minerals.  Medium bodied.  Good acidity.  On the palate, this is clean.  Complex and deep.  Wonderful minerality with a some peach comes thru.  Long finish.  This is drinking beautifully but should easily go another eight to ten years.  It is great on its own and will work nice with Thai food.

Beautiful bottle with a lot of  potential.  Green/gold in color, clear and bright.  The nose is full of minerals with a slight petrol note.  With air, red apples come out.  Slightly oily texture which is nice.  On the palate, lemons with underlying minerality.  Very deep with a long finish.  This just kept improving in the glass.  It probably  needs a couple/few more years in the cellar and should drink well for another twelve to fifteen after than.  This would work well with grilled trout but also a wide variety of foods as it seems very food friendly.

This is made from various terraced vineyards and brought up in stainless steel tanks.  Green/gold in color, clear and bright.  The nose has minerals, slight floral notes and a slight pineapple quality.  Nice texture.  There does seem to be a bit of sweetness which is surprising although it certainly would not be considered a sweet or even semi-sweet wine.  On the palate, there is a nice quince note with underlying minerality.  It is delicious and ready to drink now but should last for another eight to ten years easily.  It drinks well on its own and will work great with (not too spicy) Thai

A portion of the Chardonnay is picked early for the sparkling wines while the rest are allowed to hang and develop.  This wine is fermented in barrels and then goes thru full malolactic fermentation.  It is allowed to mature in 2500 liter wood barrels.  Green/gold in color, clear and bright.  There is some oak showing on the nose as well as a hint of sulfur, both of which quickly blow off.  The resultant wine shows green apples, salinity, spice and slight lemon.  Medium bodied.  Good acidity.  On the palate, this seems richer than the nose.  Lemon cream, and spice with the salinity coming t

Consumed at the winery as part of a vertical of this wine from 18, 19, & 20.  Hay/gold in color, clear and bright.  The nose is nice with lemons, spice and lemon verbena.  Medium bodied.  Nice texture but a bit more disjointed than the 2019.  An hour in a decanter would benefit this wine.  On the palate, lemon candy and spice.  A bit of heat on the finish which again, is probably solved with a decant.  Still, an outstanding wine in its own right.  Nice on its own and better with foods.  Pasta primavera would be excellent.  Drink over the next seven to ten years.

Tasted at the winery as part of a vertical of 18, 19 & 20.  Much bigger, riper and more depth than the 2020 (at least at this stage).  Hay/Gold in color, clear and bright.  Wow, what a gorgeous nose.  Classic.  Floral (white flowers?), slight asparagus, and white pepper and a hint of spice.  Medium bodied.  Slightly oily texture.  On the palate, lemon zest and lemon candy.  Good acidity.  Depth and tight complexity that opens in the glass.  Long finish.  This is drinking well now but may improve as it matures.  Drink over the next twelve to  fifteen years.  Great on its own, this will s
