Gorgeous wine.  It is sweet of course, but not as sweet as expected.   Golden in color.  The nose is pretty with just the slightest touch of petrol.  Also lots of minerality, wet stones and slight apricot.  Full bodied.  Viscous.  Enough acidity but a bit more to counter the sweet would be nice.  Still, it is a very nice wine.  Went well with Halloumi cheese.  Drinking well now, but it has two or three decades of life left.

2003 wasa a very hot summer in Europe and many wines reflected that heat.  At age 16, this wine is ripe and sweet but does not seem to be hurt by the heat.  In fact, it was delicious and has matured beautifully.  Still has years to go.  Light golden in color.  The nose has minerals, slight peach, slight simple syrup and is very clean (no petrol).  On the palate, this is viscous and slightly sweet.  Nice peach and minerals notes.  Decent not great acidity.  It was paried with a roasted beet salad with deep fried goat cheese croutons and that was an excellent match.

Looking for a nice value in dessert wines?  This one retails for around $15 and is nice.  Golden in color.  The nose has nice pineapple fruit, with a bit of lychee and peach.  On the palate, the pineapple carries thru.  This is sweet.  A bit of honey.  Nice to have a couple of ounces on its own.

An interesting blend of Gewurztraminer and Riesling.  It was sold for $20 which is a nice value.  Light gold/green in color.  Oddly, this seems to have some trapped CO2 in the bottle as it shows up on the glass if the not the palate.  Neither varietal seems to be very pronounced on the nose, although both show up a bit.  Slight lychee, apricot and minerals.  On the palate, this is viscous.  A perception of sweetness but seems dry though ripe.  Lychees and apricots.  Good finish.  Will work well with Indian or Thai food.

Wow.  This is singing right now.  It seems at peak, but will probably continue to evolve for the next 30 years at least.  Will it get better?  Perhaps.  This was purchased at the winery.  Deep golden in color.  The nose is clean like after a rain.  Even the light petrol has the quality.  A bit of peach and some wet stones as well.  On the palate, this is sweet, but more ripe than botrytis.  Slightly viscous.  Peach with underlying minerality on the palate.  Lots of depth and complexity.  Long finish.  Worked great with deviled eggs actually, but of course it will go with a wide variety of l

This is their basic Riesling.  It retails for around $20 and is a great value especially in great vintages like 2016.  This is sweet.  Light golden in color.  The nose has minerals, some pear and a slight honey note.  On the palate, the pear carries through.  Sweet but not over the top.  On the finish, it turns drier.  Nice minerality.  Would work great with salads or Thai/spicy foods.  This should last for a decade if well stored.

This is from a wine bar in Cleveland Heights, Ohio.  They buy juice from around the country and make a wide variety of fun and sometimes very good wines.  This is a sweet Riesling from Finger Lakes, NY grapes.  Light green/gold in color.  On the nose this is ok.  Some citrus and slight minerals.  On the palate, this is quite viscous.  It is very sweet, cloying and lacking much acid.  This will appeal to the Blue Nun lover.  If that is what people like to drink, that is fine, but know that this is the type of wine that some will like and some will dislike.

Green gold in color.  The nose is already showing some petrol which is a bit concerning for a 2015.  Also some slight grapefruit and bit of wet rocks.  On the palate, this is slightly tart.  Labeled as Trocken, it is mostly dry.  Some minerals.  A bit of lemon fruit.  Not sure where this goes from here.  It retails for around $20.

3% Residucal sugar.  This is sweet but very nice if one likes this style.  The nose is green table grapes.  It is not often that wine smells like table grapes, but this does and that is not meant in a bad way at all.  There is also an underlying minerality.  On the palate, this is viscous but with a good acidity that cuts through.  Nice minerality.  Perhaps some white peach as well.  Good finish.  This will work with spicy foods and is a nice wine for those who like sweet wines without resorting to dessert wines.

Silvery green in color.  The nose has a mineral nose with some green apples.  On the palate, this has some tannins which is interesting.  The green apples carry thru as well some citrus on the palate.  Dry (6 grams per liter).  Good finish.  This seems very tight right now and could probably use some air.  Seems like it should improve for a couple of years and be good for a decade.  Very food friendly.
