Light golden in color, clear and bright.  The nose has lemon-lime qualities with some minerality.  On the palate, this opens quickly with bold flavors.  Tart lemon candy and some underlying minerality.  Good acidity.  Longer finish.  There is a nice vibrancy here.  Drink over the next few years.  It works great on its own but worked better with soft cheeses.

Pale Gold in color, clear and bright.  This took maybe 3o to 45 minutes to open up.  On the nose there is a nice lemon candy note with some minerality.  On the palate, the lemon candy comes thru along with fresh lemons and underlying minerality.  Slight char.  There is a nice depth and complexity here.  Still on the youthful side with plenty of vibrancy.  Long finish.  This should drink well for another twelve to fifteen years.  This is great on its own and will work with a wide variety of lighter foods including fried chicken.

My first time trying this wine.  It is Paul Hobbs venture into the Finger Lakes and it is delicious.  Light green/gold in color, clear and bright.  The nose is nice with oranges, slight canned peaches and a floral note.  A bit of minerality as well.  Medium bodied, slightly viscous texture.  On the palate, tart oranges, slight lemon-lime, and some underlying minerality.  Excellent acidity.  Refreshing.  Nice finish.  This will work with almost any food, but it worked great with soft cheeses.   World class Riesling.  Drink over the next ten to twelve years, but it will probably go twice that

I love Donnhoff wines and they did quite well in 2010.  This one seems to be just about at peak.  Medium golden in color.  The nose is lovely with wet rock/minerality and a bit of peaches and slight pineapple.  Medium bodied.  Slightly viscous.  Great acidity.  On the palate, this is slightly sweet but not overblown for a Kabinett.  Pineapple, peach and some lemon with a nice minerals base.  Long finish.  This is delicious on its own but will work with seafood or fruit salads.  It should continue to drink well for another ten to fifteen years.

Delicious, if young, Austrian Riesling.  Light golden in color, clear and bright.  The nose has some apples, slight lemon and slight diesel.  Medium to full bodied.  On the palate, clean with apples and lemons and nice minerality.  Dry.  Strong, lovely acidity.  Long finish.  This will continue to mature and improve for another five to ten years and drink well for ten to twelve after that.  It is great on its own and very versatile (and probably better) with food.  It went well with Quiche.

Brilliant showing for this wine.  Showing a hint of age at 16 years from vintage.  Golden in color.  The nose is clean with Crème brûlée, minerality and slight red fruits.  Medium to full bodied.  Viscous.  On the palate, this is sweet and rich but enough acidity to cut through it.  The Crème brûlée comes thru to the palate but very concentrated.  Long finish.  Delicious.  This is great on its own or with some cheeses.  Should have no problem going another fifteen to twenty years.

This was a very enjoyable Riesling from Washington state.  The back label talked about dry wine, but this is semi-dry.  Screw capped.  Silvery/gold in color, clear and bright.  The nose is more about minerality than fruit.  Tight but opens with some air to show some tropical fruits.  On the palate, there is a nice pineapple streak with minerality and yes a bit of sweetness.  Enough acidity to balance this nicely.

Golden in color, clear and bright.  The nose has some diesel and schist along with a bit of lemon/lime.  Full bodied.  On the palate, tart lemons with an underlying minerality.  It does seem like there is a slight residual sugar. Good acidity.  This is a serious Riesling that should drink well for another ten to fifteen years (at least).  This drinks well on its own but will work better with just about any food.  It should be a nice match for Thai or Indian.

A new winery for me.  Light golden in color with some silvery hues, clear and bright.  The nose is tight (cold) with air some minerality and light lemons come thru.  It has a viscous texture.  On the palate, there is some sweetness to it (no idea what the residual sugar level is) but it is easily balanced by the bracing acidity.  13% ABV.  Plenty of lemon fruit with slight apples.  The lemony finish goes on forever.  This is really interesting and it would be hard to guess where it is from as it is quite unique.  It is drinking great now and will no doubt mature and morph but should drink w
