Nice to check in on this wine again. Richter makes some of the best values in German Riesling. This is delightful. Light yellow gold in color. Expressive nose with minerals/wet stones, grapefruit and a bit of pineapple. The texture is slightly viscous. This wine is sweet but the acidity balances it out nicely making it seem less obvious. On the the fruit has faded just a bit over the years and the minerality has stepped up. There is still some grapefruit and a touch of pineapple. It really opens in the glass showing a nice complexity. Long finish. This was excellent on its own but will work well with food. Thai food would be perfect. Drink over the next twenty to thirty years.
