After trying the "Tradizionale" VdSG from this producer which is aged on its skins, it seemed appropriate to try this version.  It is also made from 100% organic Vernaccia grapes but this is made from free run juice which sees very little skin contact.  Light golden in color, clear and bright.  The nose has some citrus with minerality and a hint of peach.  Medium bodied.  On the palate, minerals and citrus.  Clean.  Good finish.  This is nice on its own and very food friendly as well with lighter foods.  A nice choice with grilled fish.  Drink over the next couple of years.

Fascinating wine.  Made from Vernaccia grapes.  This is an organic white wine in which the grapes were macerated on their skins.  Not quite an orange wine, it looked more like a salmon-pink rosé with deep golden hues.   Clear and bright.  The nose has some hay, some light oxidized tones, and some almonds.  Medium bodied.  Good balance.  On the palate, this is deep.  Flavors of slight citrus, minerality and a slight bitter (in a good way) note.  Good finish.  This wine needs food.  It would pair well with Cinnamon Risotto.  Drink over the next few years.

Anyone who has ever visited San Gimignano probably has a soft spot in their heart for it.  A beautiful picturesque hillside town, famous for its towers.  This winery has been making wines here since 1996, so how come I am just now hearing about it?  So it goes in  the world of wine.  But this wine is excellent!  Light yellow/gold in color, clear and bright.  The nose is nice with apples, some minerals and slight pine.  Medium bodied.  But the tension in this wine.  It's precision.  Tight layers.  Bright acidity.  It wakes up the palate and then satisfies it.  The palate has great minerality

An interesting white wine for a reasonable price.  Gold/green in color.  The nose is nice with a sort of creamy lemon vanilla note along with a bit of honey and slight pears.  On the palate, this has a lemon candy quality.  Not sweet but heading in that direction.  Then the finish has a bit of almond turning bitter at the end.  There is some acidity but not as much as typical for VdSG.  This went well with food although heavier foods would over power it.  A nice value but probably should be consumed within five years of vintage.
