A delightful white wine from the north of Spain.  Fermented in stainless steel, a little natural effervescence remains in the bottle.  Screw capped.  Light golden in color with a stream of small bubbles.  The nose has minerals, green apples and salinity.  Light bodied.  Balanced.  Refreshing.  On the palate, just a hint of fizz. Flavors of green apples with some salinity.  Easy to drink at 11% abv.  This drinks nicely on its own and is perfect with lighter foods but also if those foods have a spicy kick. Drink over the next year or two as the fizz and freshness will start to fade.

This is from the Basque region of Spain and made from the Hondarrabi Zuri grape.  It is a delightful, inexpensive white that is great for summer drinking.  This style of wine intentionally has some spritz to it which makes it all the more refreshing.  It did not contain a vintage designation but did have a Euro Lot no indicating it was bottled in 2018.  Silvery green in color.  The nose is interesting with minerals, slight hay and dried sea weed.  On the palate, there is that slight bit of spritz along with a lemony/lime quality and minerals.  This is not deep or contemplative but it is enj

These are very interesting wines made from unique grapes in northern Spain.  They typically have a bit of fizz to them.  This one is made from the Hondarrabi Zuri grape.  Light golden green in color.  The nose is nice with a steely lemon/lime quality.  On the palate, there is a very slight fizz to this on the attack (likely faded a bit with age).  Slightly oily texture.  Nice lime fruit.  The wine is tart and slightly sweet at the same time which is very refreshing.  Great acidity.  Nice finish.  These don't age all that well and this one is starting to show some but is still quite nice.  D

This is from the Basque region of Spain.  It is a bit richer and more elegant than most Txacolis.  Also no spritz.  Light golden in color.  The nose has some citrus and minerals.  On the palate, this is tart but also rich bodied.  Some citrusy notes.  Good finish.  This is very food friendly but needs light and medium bodied foods.  Retails for $20 which is fair.  Made from the Hondarrabi Zuri grape.
