As good as this bottle was, it was not pristine.  It was purchased via auction.  The cork was a bit raised under the foil.  Purple in color, ruby at the rim, Mostly opaque but flat (it should have been shimmering bright).  The nose is nice with cassis, milk chocolate, dust and clay.  Great plush texture.  Firm tannins.  On the palate, cassis, blueberries with slight char.   Long finish.  This bottle seemed a bit past peak and with less energy.  That said, it was outstanding and delicious.  Well stored bottles will flirt with a 100 point score.  

This is fast becoming one of my favorite Rosés at it is outstanding but also affordable.  It is a 50/50 blend of Sangiovese and Prugnolo Gentile.  Light orange/pink in color, clear and bright.  The nose has nice cherries, slight orange citru, and peach.  Light to medium bodied.  Creamy texture.  Crisp acidity.  On the palate, this is very refreshing.  Flavors of cherries, oranges and some peach notes.  Long finish.  This is nice on its own and will work with many foods.  It worked well with assorted hard cheeses and crackers.  

Looking for a white Burgundy that won't break the bank?  This one is drinking quite nicely.  Light golden in color, clear and bright.  The nose is nice with lemons, slight cantaloupe, and a hint apple.  Medium bodied.  Nice balance.  On the palate, crisp lemons flavors with a touch of cantaloupe.  Slicht minerality.  Good finish.  This is an easy to drink Chardonnay that is lovely on its own and will work nicely with lighter foods.  A nice choice for grilled sea food.  Drink over the next three to six years.
