This is a blend of 70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Malbec from southwestern France. It is part of a project inspired by the music of Icelandic musician J.J. Julius Son and includes (on the label) a QR code that takes one to an original song that "pairs especially well" with the wine. Best of all, the wines are very fairly priced. Purple in color, mostly opaque and bright. The nose is nice with cherries, black cherries and plums. Medium bodied. Light tannins. Good acidity. On the palate, this drinks easy. Some complexity and depth. Flavors of black cherries, cherries, plums and slight sour cherries. Moderate finish. This is drinking well and should have three to five more years left in it. A perfect choice for Pizza or Burger night. Great value.
