This is an inexpensive Pinot Noir from southern Oregon.  It is lighter in style and is a tremendous value.  Light ruby in color, clear and bright.  The nose is nice with cherries, rhubarb and slight cranberries.  Nice, slightly oily texture.  Medium bodied.  Light tannins.  Good acidity.  On the palate, tart cherries with a slight floral note.  Good finish.  This is nice on its own but probably a bit better with food.  Drink over the next five to ten years.  It would make a nice pairing with grilled Salmon.  Screw capped.

Domaine Bousquet is a nice source for great values and the wines are made from organic grapes.  This is a sparkling blend of 75% Pinot Noir and 25% Chardonnay from Argentina.  Pink/orange in color, clear and bright.  A nice bead of smaller bubbles.  On the nose, aromas of cherries and apples with a touch of blood oranges.  Medium bodied.  Good acidity.  On the palate, red apples with some chalkiness/minerality.  Long finish.  This is a tasty sparkling wine that should drink well for five years.  It is nice on its own and very food friendly, it went great with Mexican Street Corn.

This is a blend of 70% Chardonnay, 20% Pinot Noir, 3% Pinot Blanc, along with 7% Aged Reserve Blend.  Golden in color, clear and bright with a nice mousse with lots of tiny bubbles.  The nose is deep with apples and minerality.  Maybe a touch of lemon citrus.  Crisp acidity.  Full bodied.  On the palate, flavors of red apples and slight minerality.  Good finish.  This is delicious now and should drink well for five to eight years.  It will drink well on its own and with about any food.  A nice choice with Sushi.

NV Piper-Heidsieck Champagne Cuvée Brut, France, Wine Review

Current Price:
$37.00USD

This is a blend of 20% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Meunier, and 50% Pinot Noir.  Light golden in color, clear and bright.  A nice mouse with a steady stream of tiny bubbles.  The nose is nice with apples, slight apple cider, and slight peach.  Medium to full bodied.  Good acidity.  On the palate, this is clean with red apples and slight minerality.  Long finish.  The Lot number was L230588 3125.  This is drinking well and should be consumed over the next few years.  It is lovely on its own but should go with virtually everything from popcorn to Prime Rib.  A great value in Champagne.
