This was a bit shut down and took a couple of hours to open, so plan ahead if opening in the near term. Ruby in colo, clear and bright. The nose is tight but with an hour or two of air, it shows nice cherries, some black cherries, a hint of cinnamon, and a slight floral note. Medium to full bodied. Light tannins. Tart acidity that came together with air. On the palate, cherries and slight black cherries with slight spice. Long finish. This needs a bit of time in a good cellar, so hold for five and drink for ten to fifteen after that. It is nice on its own and will work well with food. Grilled Salmon Steaks would work well, but again, give it a six hour decant for the short term. The score is sure to rise as it ages and develops.
