MV Bodegas Vega-Sicilia Ribera del Duero Único Reserva Especial 2006, 2007, 2009 (2019 Release)

This is part of the mult-vintage release from Unico.  This bottle (a Magnum) was releases in 2019 and is a blend of 2006, 2007, and 2009.  It is a fantastic wine that could have used a decanting as it is still young.  Purple in color, opaque and bright.  The nose takes a bit, then opens to show cherries, slight black cherries, cedar, cigar box, slight citrus, and spice.  Full bodied.  Firm tannins.  On the palate, flavors of cherries, cassis, slight tobacco and char.  Long finish.  This needs time, especially from a magnum but should drink well for the next fifty years.  It  is great on its own and will work well with many foods.  Roasted, stuffed red peppers would work well as would Roasted Lamb.
