This is one of the great wines of the world.  It is 100% Tempranillo (locally called Tinto Fino).  This particular bottle was a magnum!  Wow.  It is still quite young and probably could have used a 24 hour decant.  That said, it was gorgeous.  Purple in color. The nose has black cherries, black pepper, iron and spice.  Full bodied.  On the palate, this has firm tannins.  Black cherry fruit.  It is very deep and slowly unwinds in the glass.  A long finish.  This bottle won't hit maturity for another decade at least though 750 ml's probably will a bit sooner.  Certainly, the score should improve as this ages, but it was delicious now.
