This is a step or two up from the basic Barolo. Ruby in color with slight purple swirls, mostly clear and bright. The nose is great with cherries, sandalwood, splight baking spice and an interesting not of celery that morphs into a minty note with some air. Very nice. Nicce full bodied texture. Firm tannins. On the palate, this is tight but complex with flavors of black cherries, cherries, char and anise. Long finish. It is tasty with some air today but patience will be rewarded. Hold for ten years and drink for twenty or more after that. If drinking sooner, pair with fatty foods such as braised meats or Root vegetables Roasted with olive oil.
