Tasted at the winery. This wine is made with declassified Barolo grapes aged 10 months in neutral oak. Pale ruby in color, clear and bright. The is perfumed with cherries, cinnamon, black pepper and rose petals. Medium bodied. Medium tannins. Good acidity. On the palate, not that deep but still satisfying. Flavors of cherries with slight sour cherries. Long finish with a touch of anise. This is easy to drink now and should drink well for another five to eight years. Nice on its own but better with food, this wine should be pretty versatile at the table. This will work well with Chacuterie but also roasted mushrooms and other root vegetables. Great value.
