Tasted at the winery. Impressive showing for the base Barolo from Scavino. Ruby in color, clear and bright.  The nose is bright with raspberries, mint, cherries and anise.  Full bodied.  Firm tannins.  Excellent acidity.  On the palate, this is already showing depth and complexity if tightly layered.  Flavors of cherries, black cherries and char with anise on the finish.  This is young so if drinking soon, a six hour decant (or even 24 hours) is not a bad idea.  Ideally, hold for five years and then drink for ten to twenty after that.  It will be better with food.  Pasta in a Ragu sauce with mushrooms or truffles would be perfect.  Lots of relative value for a Barolo  of this quality and pricing.
