Tasted at the winery. I have only had wines from this commune a few times, but, this is impressive. it does stand out as different from the other Barolos in their lineup and perhaps it is one of those wine that will either be you favorite or least favorite in their lineup.  It is more "elegant" in a way and less brooding.  Ruby in color, clear and bright.  The nose has tobacco, cherries, chalk, white pepper and slight thyme.  Medium to full bodied.  Good acidity.  Tannic but more fine grained that thick.  On the palate, this is elegant despite its youth.  Cherries, sage and slight char.  Long finish.  This seems like it is drinking well but no doubt will develop over the next decade or so.  Drink over the next twenty years.  This would be nice with Eggplant Parmesan.
