My first time trying wine. Very nice. Gold green in color, clear and bright. The nose is a bit chalky with apples (mostly green). Good acidity. On the palate, this is crisp and tasty. Chalky with lemons. Nice finish. Nice on its own, but this is very food friendly. It went great with a caprese salad. Drink over the next seven to ten years. Nice value.
Hay gold in color. The nose is filled with green apples and some chalk. A bit of underlying minerality. On the palate, sour green apples which get stronger with air. Good acidity, but not great (especially for Chablis). Long finish. Lots of fruit here. This will go with a wide variety of light and medium weight foods. This is a very nice Chardonnay made from estate grown and purchased fruit. Light golden in color, clear and bright. The nose has some green apple often found in Chablis, but mostly grapefruit with some lemon. Medium bodied. On the palate, this is moderately crisp with a bit of chalky minerality. Good finish. It drinks well on its own and worked well with a caprese salad. Drink over the next few years.
Green gold in color. The nose has nice minerality with slight lemons. On the palate, the lemons carry thru along with a slight bitterness. Good acidity. Nice finish. This retails for $23. It will works nicely with sea food and salads. Should be drunk in the next few years.
It was interesting to try this side by side with the Vaudesir. While neither one could be called blowsy or showy, this has more presence and weight. Light golden/green in color, clear and bright. The nose is classic Chablis. Green apples, chalky minerality, slight gunpowder and slight white flowers. Full bodied. Great balance. Firm acidity. On the palate, green apples with underlying minerality and just a hint of flint/gunpowder. Long finish. This is nice on its own but needs food to really shine. Shell fish would be ideal but it went nicely with Japanese Noodles as well. This
