NV Bryn Mawr Vineyards Brut Rosé, Oregon, Willamette Valley, Wine Review
Salmon pink in color with a touch of orange. A nice mousse with small bubbles. Clear and bright. The nose is expressive with strawberries, and a touch of cranberries. Medium bodied. Good acidity. On the palate, this is nicely balanced with crisp acidity. Flavors of cherries and slight cranberries. Long finish. This is delightful on its own and very food friendly. It will work well with salty and fried appetizers. Drink over the next few years.
2022 Weingut Silvia Heinrich Blaufränkisch, Austria, Burgenland, Wine Review
This is made from the Blaufrankish grape in Austria. Screw capped. Purple in color with some ruby hues, opaque and bright. The nose has cherries and slight plums with a hint of wild thyme. Medium bodied. Good acidity. Light tannins. On the palate, black cherries and plums with a slight earthiness. Good finish. This drinks well on its own but is at its best with food. Fried foods should work well. Fried chicken would be a good match. Drink over the next seven to ten years.
