Davis Bynum has a long history in Sonoma, dating back to the early 1970s and has long promoted Sonoma wine before Sonoma was known for its dynamic wines it is today. This 2022 uses six different Chardonnay clones from various blocks on their property to craft a classic Sonoma Chardonnay. You’ll find lemon curd, light resin, apricot, honeysuckle and white peach where the acidity supports the fruit. The malolactic fermentation and light aging in both French and Eastern European barrels provides a creamy texture, palate weight as well as butterscotch and baked brioche bread elements that give off bright fruit, light oak notes and acidity. This allows the wine to offer a number of food pairing opportunities. If you are looking for a classic Sonoma Chardonnay, this is it. 16,340 cases. ORIGIN: Russian River Valley, Sonoma.
