This was an interesting Pinot Noir from Oregon (and very good).  It is hearty in style especially  for Oregon.  Purple in color, mostly opaque and bright.  The nose is deep with black cherries, plums, baking spice, slight char and a bit of earthiness.  Medium to full bodied.  Light to medium tannins.  Good balance.  On the palate, flavors of black cherries, black raspberries, spice and char.  Long finish.  This drinks great on its own and will work well many foods.  It is big enough to easily go with Lamb Stew but would still work nicely with baked Salmon.  It is still young and should improve over the next few years.  Drink over the next eight to twelve.
