One of the great values in top quality Chardonnay. This is their basic (non single vineyard) bottling. I believe this sees no new oak. green/gold in color, clear and bright. The nose is gorgeous with a bit of air. Notes of lemon, tangerines, gun powder and slight spice. Medium to full bodied. Ever so slightly oily texture (love that). Great balance. On the palate, there is a nice complexity to this likely arising from the use of four or five different vineyards. Flavors of lemons, flint, tangerines and spice. Maybe just a touch of vanilla? Long finish. It is obviously young but drinking well with a bit of air. Drink over the next eight to twelve years. Great on its own, this will work great with many foods. It would be very nice with grilled trout (or grilled Tofu).
