This is the first bottle I recall from Ravera.  Apparently, climate change has been kinder to his Cru than many other places in Piemonte as historically, ripening has been a challenging issue.  Ruby in color, clear and bright.  The nose is great with cherries, black cherries, slight orange peel, celery and a nice minerality.  Medium bodied.  Medium tannins.  Nice texture.  Strong backbone of acidity.  On the palate, flavors of Bing cherries, some Black cherries, char, spice and a "wild herb" (maybe sage) note.  Long finish.  This is deep and complex if quite young.  Hold for another five to ten years and then drink for ten to twenty after that.  It needs food to really shine.  Grilled meats would work well as would a Roasted Vegetable & Mushroom Lasagna.
