This seems to be the same wine that used to be labelled Castiglione. It is there base Barolo and attractively priced given the level of quality.  Ruby in color, clear and bright.  The nose is great with rose petals, slight tar, and cherries.  A hint of mint comes out with air. Medium to full bodied.  Medium tannins.  Well balanced.  On the palate, flavors of  cherries with slight floral notes.  Of course, this is young and tight but shows depth and complexity.  Long finish.  If opening soon, give this a lot of air.  Better yet, Hold for another five to eight years and drink for ten to fifteen after that.  It is nice on its own but will be better with food.  An earthy mushroom dish would be great such as Mushroom Barley Soup but Roasted Wild Mushrooms and Pasta would be excellent as well.
