Tasted at the winery.  Quite a treat to taste a 19 year old Barbaresco!  Garnet in color, partially opaque and bright.  The nose is complex with cherries, wild thyme, black cherries and slight tar.  full bodied.  Still has firm tannins.  Wonderful balance.  On the palate, this is delicious and close to peak but not quite.  Deep and complex.  Layers of black cherries, cherries, dried herbs, and char.  Long finish.  Just a gorgeous wine.  Having had this when much younger, this was a beast but at age 19, it shows the benefits of patience.  Great on its own, but better with food.  Pasta with (White) Truffles in a cream sauce would be amazing.  Based on this bottle, drink over the next ten to fifteen years.
