Wow.  This is arguably the best wine producing Co-op and as seems to be happening with greater frequency, the nailed this vintage.  Garnet in color, mostly clear and bright.  The nose is deep and profound.  Aromas of cherries, raspberries, anise, black pepper and slight earthiness.  Medium bodied.  Medium to  full tannins.  Great acidity.  On the palate, this is delicious.  Tight layers of cherries and raspberries with a bit of thyme and black pepper.  It takes about an hour and really opens well.  Long finish.  This is nice  on its own but will work better with food.  It would be great with Pasta with a Truffle or Mushroom sauce and butter.  Drink over the next ten to fifteen years but it should still improve over the next five years or so.
