Very impressive showing for such a young wine. Ordered off the menu at Belsit in La Morra. deep ruby in color, mostly clear and bright. The nose is great with cherries, plums, sage, leather and spice. Full bodied. Medium to firm tannins. Great balance. On the palate, this is deep if still tight. I opens in the glass to show complexity with flavors of cherries, black cherries, plums and a slight minty note on the finish. This will likely shut down a bit so if drinking soon, give it plenty of air. That said, it is not a wall of tannins and works well with food. A nice choice with Pasta with truffles. Hold for five years and drink for ten to twenty after that.
