For those who might be unaware, Spottswoode only makes two wines under that label - Cabernet Sauvignon, and Sauvignon Blanc. And they pour every effort into making the best wines possible. Their wines are eternally good, score well and are complex and yet are still a pleasure to drink and are very approachable. This new iteration of Sauvignon Blanc is a tangy version providing plenty of acidity for pairing purposes. You’ll find tropical fruit notes in this, including guava, white peach, Asian pear, light honeysuckle, a touch of resin, wildflower notes and citrus peel. Comprised of mainly Sauvignon Blanc, there is 5% Semillon added in and the fruit comes from both Napa and Sonoma. The fermentation in both stainless steel and oak helps to preserve the bright, crisp acidity and vibrant flavors. ORIGIN: Napa, Sonoma counties. ALCOHOL: 13.5%
