This was quite good. A bit more elegant than many RRV Pinots but still with a sense of place. Deep ruby in color, mostly opaque and bright. The nose is deep with cherries, macerated cherries, sandalwood, very slight cola notes and spice. Great, plush texture. Good acidity. On the palate, this is delicious. Flavors of cherries, black cherries, spice and slight char. Good finish. This is very nice on its own but better with food. It went went well with Sauteed Tofu with a soy/Peanut Sauce. Mushrooms would go nicely as well. Still young it will mature and possibly improve a bit but no harm drinking now with an hour in a decanter. Drink over the next ten to fifteen years.
