This is a blend of 93.9% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6.1% other red blending varietals from the Michael Mondavi Family of wines. This did not seem as good as the 2021 but this is still a very nice wine and good value for a quality Napa Cab. Garnet in color, opaque and bright. The nose took about an hour or so to really open and then showed cassis, baking spice along with some fresh oak. Medium to full bodied. Medium tannins. On the palate, this has some slight ripeness/sweetness. Flavors of cassis and sour cherries along with some fresh oak and char. The sour cherries really come out on the finish. This needs a bit of time or a long decant so the oak can integrate more and the wine can come together. Hold for a few years and drink for seven to ten after that. It drinks well on its own but is also a classic steak house wine. it would be a good choice for Pizza night as well.
