2022 Caterwaul Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley, USA, California, Napa, Wine Review

Relatively speaking, this is one of the better values in high end Napa Cabernet.  Inky purple in color, opaque and shimmering bright.  The nose is classic with cassis, spice, chocolate, slight cedar, and oak.  Full bodied.  Firm tannins.  Nice balance.  On the palate, this is tasty.  It is a bigger wine but not as concentrated as the single vineyard offerings.  Flavors of cassis with slight blueberries and black cherries.  Also, some baking spice and oak.  Still showing young, the oak will likely integrate over the next few years.  This should last longer than one might think.  Drink over the next ten years.  It drinks well on its own and will work well with many foods.  A nice wine with Roasted Broccoli and Cauliflower.
