2021 Zenato Lugana Metodo Classico Brut, Italy, Lombardia, Wine Review

This is made from 100% Trebbiano di Lugano grapes just below Lake Garda in Italy (the DOC requires 90%) as a sparkling wine made in the Classic Method.  Yellow/gold/slight green in color with a nice mousse of many tiny bubbles.  The nose is clean with lots of minerality.  With air a bit of green apples emerge as well.  Medium bodied.  Good acidity.  On the palate there is lots of minerality along with a slight Quince note.  Dry.  Long finish.  This is a serious sparkling wine with about a $30 price tag.  Very food friendly, this will work with just about any food.  It would be perfect with Popcorn while watching television or with sushi for dinner.  Drink over the next few years.
