This is a very nice Sonoma Coast Chardonnay.  Light golden in color, clear and bright.  The nose features pineapple, buttered popcorn, smoke and a bit of Lemon Creme.  Full bodied.  Light tannins.  Nice balance.  On the palate, this has a fair amount of oak but I found it deftly handled and it should integrate with time.  Flavors of Lemon, some red apples, a bit of butter, vanilla and spice.  Good finish.  Chardonnay can be made in so many styles, it seems a shame to limit ones self but at the same time, people should drink what they like.  While this is not my favorite style, it also is so well made and really shows the fruit well that I found it very enjoyable.  It is nice on its own but perhaps better with some food.  It went well with pasta with an Aioli sauce.  Drink over the next ten years.
