Tasted at the winery. This is a dessert wine that is a blend of 45% Corvina, 30% Corvinone, and 25% Rondinella. It has 140gm/ltr of residual sugar and weighs in at 12% abv. Ruby in color, clear and bright. The nose has black cherries, raspberries, char, slight dark chocolate and raisins. Medium bodied. Slightly viscous. Light tannins. On the palate, this is sweet, not cloying. Good acidity. Some depth and complexity. Long finish. A little goes a long way but this makes a lovely way to end a meal. It should last for a long time (at least twenty years) if well cellared. It drinks well on its own and would be a nice match with a chocolate dessert or even a bowl of red and purple fruits.
