2012 Tommaso Bussola Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Tb Vigneto Alto, Italy, Veneto, Wine Review

This is a blend sourced from the Vigneto Alto vineyard of 45% Corvina, 30% Corvinone, and 25% Rondinella grapes.  Garnet in color, shimmering bright.  The nose is deep with black cherries, chocolate, raisins and plums.  Full bodied.  Strong acidity.  Firm tannins.  On the palate, black cherries, chocolate and black pepper.  Long finish.  This has plenty of depth and complexity which should continue to develop.  Drink over the next twenty years.  it is very nice on  its own but will be better with food.  This will go well with bigger flavored foods.  Braised Short Ribs of Roasted Duck should work well.
