2013 Tommaso Bussola Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Tb Riserva, Italy, Veneto, Wine Review

Tasted at the winery.  Bottle # 1568 of 4826.  It is a blend of 45% Corvina, 30% Corvinone, and 25% Rondinella.  Garnet in color, shimmering bright.  The nose has black cherries, raisins, plums and slight chocolate.  Full bodied.  Mouth puckering tannins.  Great acidity.  On the palate, black cherries, chocolate covered raisins, some minerality and slight char.  Long finish.  This is delicious but its best days are still in front.  Hold for another five years and drink for twenty to thirty after that.  It is wonderful  on its own but will be better with food.  braised meats or roasted root vegetables would be a great pairing.
