This is the second release of the Orin Swift project now that Dave Phinney's non-compete with Prisoner Wine Company is over.  It was nice to get a chance to try this.  This is a very solid wine.  Purple in color. It is a blend of Zinfandel, Syrah, Petite Sirah, and Grenache and clocks in at 15.6% ABV.  That said, the alcohol is not noticeable.  This is very smooth.  Purple in color.  The nose has black cherries, blueberries with char and slight spice.  On the palate, this drinks easy.  Plenty of fruit, however, not a lot of depth or acidity.  Black raspberries with some blueberries.  It drinks well on its own and would work with BBQ.  It will be interesting to see it evolve and perhaps, this bottle just needed some air to show a bit more.  It is obviously young.
