2016 Paolo Scavino Barolo Bric dël Fiasc, Italy, Piedmont, Wine Review

Beautiful showing for this bottle at age 10.  Garnet in color, partially opaque and bright.  The nose is deep but ethereal with cherries, strawberries, iron, fresh tobacco, spice and slight char.  Full bodied.  Firm tannins.  Great backbone of acidity.  On the palate, cherries, black cherries, slight strawberries with some spice and tar.  Long finish.  This is youthful and should continue to develop for another ten years.  No harm drinking now with a couple hours in a decanter.  Drink over the next twenty to thirty years.  It is great on its own but better with food.  It would be perfect with a Mushroom Risotto.
