Tasted at the winery. Quintarelli made no Amarone in 2016 so that fruit was put into this wine which is not made every year. The abv was "only" 15% which is lower than their usual Amarone. Ruby in color, maybe a shade darker, clear and bright. The nose is dusty with plums, cherries, and spices. With air an herbal green note comes out as well. Semi-plush texture. Medium to firm tannins. Nice acidity. On the palate, cherries, black cherries, white pepper, and a slight green bell pepper note. Good finish with a touch of dark chocolate. This is drinking well now and should drink well for another seven to ten years. It needs food to show its best. Stuffed green peppers would be an excellent choice and a way to use some of the green notes on this wine to its advantage.
