As the prices on White Burgundy have reached the stratosphere, a nice value play on the better producers can be to get the entry level or in this case, their 1er Cru wines. While still expensive, the quality on this is outstanding and it is just reaching peak. Light golden in color, clear and bright. The nose is great with nice minerality/chalk, lemons, char, slight green apples and slight lime. Full bodied with crisp acidity. On the palate, this has some depth and complexity. it opens quickly in the glass. Flavors of lemons, limes and apples with some minerality. Good finish. This is great on its own but better with food. A nice choice would be sauteed scallops. Drink over the next five ten years.
