What a splendid showing for this wine. Maybe the best Figeac ever. It is a blend of 43% Cabernet Sauvignon, 29% Merlot and 28% Cabernet Franc which is interesting for the Right Bank. Purple in color, opaque and bright. The nose is gorgeous with cassis, graphite, spice, black cherries, chocolate and char. Full bodied. Firm tannins. This is still young but showing depth and complexity. Flavors of cassis, tobacco, chocolate, spice and char. Long finish. It is drinking great now, but will improve. Holding for a few years may result in reaching a 100 point score but if drinking now, give it a decant. Great on its own but better with food. This needs a Lamb Chop or Prime Rib. Drink over the next twenty to thirty years.
