This is a blend of 70% Merlot, 24% Cabernet Franc and 6% Cabernet Sauvignon from the Right Bank in Bordeaux. Bought on release. Pop and pour. Purple in color, opaque and bright. The nose is nice with black cherries, chocolate, tobacco and spice. Full bodied. Light to medium tannins. Great texture. On the palate, this is close to peak. Black cherries, cassis, slight dark chocolate and a bit of earthiness. Long finish. This has nice depth and some complexity. It drinks very well on its own and would work nicely with most foods. It would be a nice choice with Roasted Chicken with some mushrooms. Drink over the next ten years.
